About New Day RESIDENTIAL SERVICES

NEW DAY AS A PROGRAM-APPROVED SERVICE AGENCY (PASA)

As a state-approved PASA, we provide Residential Services for adults 18 years+ on the Colorado DD (Developmental Disabilities) Waiver through the Colorado Medicaid / Peak program.

Our residential services provide 24-hour supervision in Host Homes or family home via Family Caregiver Services.

Our residential services are often synchronized with day program participation, ensuring a continuation of care to best support the needs and goals of those we serve.

HOST HOME SERVICES

New Day Host Home Providers are qualified and experienced caregivers

Individuals interested in Host Home Services have the opportunity to tour available residences and meet with potential providers ensuring the best match between provider and those receiving care. New Day provides administrative oversight, and assists in connecting persons receiving care and providers with community resources.

About Host Home Services

Our host homes provide a family-based residency where community engagement is encouraged. Residential participants receiving care are provided an individualized private bedroom and access to the entire home.

We provide holistic caregiving in all aspects of life including: meal planning, homemaker services, assistance in activities of daily living, community outings, transportation, advocation, maintaining and attending medical appointments, day program services, and more.

Healthy Living Made Easy

FAMILY CAREGIVER SERVICES

The Colorado DD waiver allows eligible family members to become paid caregivers for a loved one with a developmental disability. This is part of the Family Caregiver program, where the individual receives a budget to pay a family member to provide support services at home. To access this, an individual must qualify for the DD waiver, have a case manager, and ensure their family caregiver is a qualified, independent contractor.

New Day assists those entering the family caregiver program in obtaining the necessary training and qualifications, such as Q-MAP (Qualified Medication Administration Personnel) Training, CPR/ First Aid, orientation and training with Therap Systems and daily documentation requirements, emergency protocols and procedures.
